It was an afternoon of networking, learning and celebration as the 2023 Australian Cleantech Awards winners were announced on the 12th of September in Melbourne.
Hosted by Scalare Partners, the event welcomed more than 100 guests, bringing together a wide range of cleantech enthusiasts, including government representatives, investment specialists and clean energy pioneers for dynamic networking and discussions on sustainability.
Earlier in the day the event featured live pitches from finalists competing in the categories; Clean Energy, Sustainable Cities, Communities & Transport, and Victorian Clean Tech Company of the Year.
The formal awards ceremony followed, which included a keynote address from the Minister for Climate, the Honourable Lily D’Ambrosio, and a panel discussion with sustainability leaders to discuss the path towards a greener Australia.
The panellists included Ben Krasnostein, Partner at Kilara Capital (pictured above, far left); Phil Blythe from Venture Builder (second from the left); Vanya Kumar, Executive Director, Commercial and Investment Attraction, Energy Group, Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (third from the left); and David Higgins, Assistant Secretary, Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (second from the right); with Georgia McDonald from LaunchVic as the guest moderator (first from the right).
Following the insightful discussion on how to forge a path towards a sustainable Australia by building new partnerships models between government, investors and innovators, the awards were presented.
