Scalare Partners closes oversubscribed funding round to support early-stage technology companies

Updated: Oct 26, 2022

The round featured a new cornerstone investor from a Sydney-based family office who joins the Scalare Board and investment committee with a view to co-invest with Scalare on future opportunities.

The raise was further supported by the Founding team at Scalare as well existing and new backers from the Scalare community of investors, advisors and successful technology founders.

Following on from impressive gains in the 11 investments Scalare has made since early 2020, and additional mandates to support companies with M&A and IPO processes, Founding Partner Nick Roberts said the funding is the next step in helping more promising technology startups access early-stage working capital and the support they need to maximise success.

"At Scalare we believe that growth takes more than money, which is why we couple investment with tailored, hands-on strategic and operational support provided by our core team and broader advisory community", says Nick.

Scalare’s unique support model puts Founders first and leverages the experience of an international community of skilled advisors across 10 different countries who can be brought in to provide short and long-term strategic or operational support.

Furthermore, the broader Scalare community comprises sophisticated investors who enjoy following the development of portfolio companies and who have demonstrated a strong interest in supporting the portfolio through future raises.

“Our aim is to invest in and support at least an additional 10 companies this financial year and continue to build a supportive community that wants to help our game-changing founders and their companies succeed”, says Nick.

In a busy few months, Scalare has recently supported a number of its portfolio companies through significant growth and investment milestones including its very successful exit as ethiXbase took on a new majority shareholder in the UK.
